Founded in 1955 with the support of the Briggs family, well known in Dundee circles, the green and initial buildings were, in the main, constructed by the original founding club members. The club has grown considerably since those days, now consisting of a bar area, a sizeable function suite which also doubles as a carpet bowling area, a large function kitchen, and a large locker room which doubles as a games room. Again, most of the current improvements occurred through the continued effort of members.
There are currently three types of membership within the club.
For those who wish to participate in the game of bowls, including home and away games with other clubs and internal competitions. Full use of club facilities is included at a current annual fee of £120 a year.
There are no joining fees.
For those who wish only full use of club facilities, including bar facilities, without use of the bowling green, the current cost is £40 a year. Again there are no joining fees.
For youngsters who wish to play bowls or who wish to be taught the game. This includes members up to the age of eighteen on a nominal yearly sliding fee scale.
